Bushing/Washer-Thrust
The two types of insulating materials are rooted in mechanical and electrical applications. Bushings are cylindrical-shaped insulators that insulate electrical conductors from each other. And from the walls of the metal housings that contain them. Flat insulators called washer-thrusts keep metal components from grating against adjacent ones. Bushing and washer-thrust materials can be used for a variety of purposes. These include electric motors, transformers, and generators. You can also use them in mechanical applications like automotive and industrial equipment.
Some of the features of the bushing and washer-thrust materials are:
- Excellent electrical insulation properties
- Available in various sizes and shapes
- Tolerates extreme conditions (both thermally and mechanically)
- Durable and long-lasting
