Overview
Silica fabric, composed of over 96% silica, retains its exceptional properties even at temperatures reaching up to 1000°C. Manufactured from silica yarns derived from continuous glass fibers with diameters of 6 μm or larger, this fabric is treated to elevate the SiO2 content to over 94%.
Designed to reinforce composite materials and provide insulation for acoustic, thermal, hydraulic, and electrical applications, silica fabric offers outstanding chemical stability under standard conditions. While the glass fiber additives used to enhance the fabric’s properties decompose at temperatures above 200°C, they play a crucial role in protecting the fibers during handling and improving their performance. Additionally, the fabric complies with the REACH directive, ensuring safety and environmental responsibility.
